ISO9000 for cartoons...
Due to continuously increasing consumers' expectations I decided certify my cartoons according to ISO9000 from now on. However, this means not insignificant changes. So I will from now on only collaborate with enterprises subjecting their products to ISO9000, as this certificate is a guarantee for quality.
The whole chain of production has to be considered at this: for instance, the cartoon intended to be published should get a cachet of freshness. This starts with the certified felt-tip pen and ends with the punctual, quality assured delivery.
Such a process of creating a cartoon of course undergoes several individual operations. First of all it's important, that the things considered to be caricatured - i.e. politicians and other figures and actions of public life - daily offer something new and interesting for us, the audience. Thus, only ISO9000-certified politicians are allowed to appear on the world stage of cartoons. For their lack of potential in satire, politicians representing political correctness need to give away their membership book and return to lectureship. After all the ISO9000 demands that the suppliers need to adopt the standard, too. In my opinion, from now on only politicians suitable for satire should be elected. Thank Westerwelle...

ISO9000 is hard work, a job for bean-counters: who really likes to weigh, taste and feel the litheness of his shit and even keep the minutes about it? Not to mention the annual audit with the health counselor. Choke... and then even putting the label on top of the clamp, before it's washed away... but that's nothing for an ambitious drawer whose aim is it to deliver a quality-assured cartoon.
By the ISO9000-standard, censors mainly confirm that you are working according to a standardized process. A nice job: First, the company is high-gloss polished and subsequently you pay for believing the lies...
